Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo

My mom and I went to Goodwill yesterday to find her a shirt for the Pioneer Trek she's going on (yes, you read that right). Of course we couldn't leave without browsing the shoes.

My mom found this cute white pair of Italian made, leather shoes adorned with a navy bow. We both tried them on, noticing what nice quality they were. Then my mom spotted another pair of shoes sporting the same gold cursive on the sole, stating Salvatore Ferragamo. That's when we started searching for that gold cursive.

Spread all throughout the shoe racks were eight pairs of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, all size six and a half or seven. Some googling informed us that shoes by that brand today retail any where from $500 - $1,000.

We kept discussing who this woman must have been, as we gathered her shoes up on the Goodwill floor. Who was she, this woman with tiny, narrow feet and how did her expensive shoe collection end up at a Gilbert Goodwill?
